Ministry To Community
Local Missions
First Presbyterian Church has incorporated many special offerings into its ministry.
Some of these are Habitat For Humanity, Blanket Sunday, aid to victims of recent devastating hurricanes, aid to local charities on Souper Bowl Sunday and through the Dimes For Dollars and annual contributions to the Presbyterian Home. Other support is for the Salvation Army, the Boys and Girls Club and the Rape Crisis Center.
Also, members help people both inside and outside the church through the semi-annual Blood Assurance Program. Individually, members of FPC are generous with their time, money and talents in supporting the needs of our community.
Special financial aid is often given to other churches in need.
Foreign Missions
First Presbyterian Church sponsors two missionary couples in Brazil and Nepal as well as the Donkorkrom Presbyterian Hospital in Ghana.
Presbytery
First Presbyterian Church supports the Presbytery through various projects and ministries through our unified budget giving.
